Private services have been planned for Raymond R. Dunlap, 83, of Kirtland Hills.  Mr. Dunlap died suddenly, Saturday, April 19, 2008, at his residence.  He was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Chardon, he had been a Kirtland Hills resident for more than 40 years.

He was an animal lover and enjoyed home maintenance and yard care and especially gardening. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having been awarded two Bronze Stars.  Mr. Dunlap worked for Chardon Rubber Company for 12 years as a set-up man. Prior to that, he worked for Kismet Products in Painesville and Customer Rubber in Cleveland for 35 years.

Survivors are his wife, Kay; brother, Glenn (Dolores) Dunlap of Chardon; special friends, Bud and Betty Rhode of Painesville; and his precious cat, Jessica.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Phillips; and sister, Marjorie Phillips.

Inurnment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
