Funeral service for Ida E. Gronert, age 94, a longtime resident of Euclid, will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday May 6, 2008 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.  Mrs. Gronert died Friday May 2, 2008 at Heartland of Mentor.  She was born Jan 5, 1914 in Cleveland.

Mrs. Gronert was an assembler at General Electric Nela Parks lamp division in Cleveland for many years. She also worked for the Euclid School System and was a 1932 graduate of Brush High School. Mrs. Gronert was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Cleveland. She loved sewing, crocheting, crewelwork, gardening and bowling.

Survivors are her daughter Lori (Herbert) Roy of Kirtland, son Alan (Dyane Hanslik) Gronert of Mentor, 2 grandchildren Kara Roy of Mentor and Erik (Brandi) Roy of Concord Twp. She is also survived by 2 loving great grandchildren and 2 sisters Lucia Grisard of South Euclid and Adele Kirsch of Willoughby.  She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold C. Gronert, parents Gustav and Marie Nowjak, sister Olga Hall and 2 brothers Robert and Walter Nowjak.

Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment at Crown Hill Memorial Park, Twinsburg.
