Carol Bauer Glowe

September 8, 1942 - February 25, 2022

Carol (Bauer) Glowe, age 79 of Mentor, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born September 8, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Glowe was a retired Assistant Manager from Lincoln Electric, where she worked for 40 years as a loyal and dedicated employee. She obtained her BA degree and CPA certification from Cleveland State University. She was a sorority sister at Cleveland State University. She was a devoted and devout Christian woman whose faith was deeply rooted in the Catholic Church. Her religion was an integral part of her daily life. She had a natural passion for quilting and sewed many quilts for her nieces, nephews and great nieces that will forever be cherished. She also had a very generous heart in donating quilts to those in need. She enjoyed time with her girlfriends connecting in fellowship with their book club. She took pleasure in the art of baking. She adventured in many trips with her sister-in-law, Cheryl, and friends to Europe. Survivors include her brothers: Robert Bauer and James (Cheryl) Bauer; nieces and nephews: Michael (Rebecca) Bauer, Laura Bauer, Karen Bauer and Kevin (Elise) Bauer; great-nieces: Hannah, Hailey, Sophia, Gabriella, Lillyana, Heatherlynn, Kenley and Karmen. Preceding Carol in death are her husband: Dr. Anthony “Tony” G. Glowe; parents: Frank and Mildred Bauer; sister-in-law: Carolynn Bauer and infant nephew: Christian Michael. The family will receive friends 4:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave. Mentor, OH. The funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH. Please meet at the church.
