Darlene Alfreda Harding, 63, of Painesville, OH passed away April 10, 2022 at University Hospitals, Cleveland, OH. She was born December 25, 1958 in Painesville, OH to the late Alfonso and Merlin Yvonne Harding. Darlene graduated from Harvey high school in 1977. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Argosy University (on-line) in February, 2016 and Master of Science degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University (on-line) in June, 2019. Darlene’s hobbies were reading and writing. Her interests were counseling and helping people who had addiction problems. She was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church and was baptized at St. John Baptist Church, Painesville. Survivors include her sister, Marlene Harding; Godsister, Clevetta (Anthony) Hall and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. Preceding her in death is her son, Brandon Leroy; cousins, Genie Dillard, Cleomie Hudson, Belva Brown, and her uncle, Darrell Harding. A memorial celebration will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church, 428 W. Jackson St. Painesville, OH 44077. A private family interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville, OH at a later date.
