Davie D. (Hensley) LaVan age 84 of Painesville Twp., died Friday March 19, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 31, 1937 in Huntington, WV. Mrs. LaVan was a homemaker. Davie enjoyed her family, gardening, and playing the slot machines at the casinos. Davie is survived by her sons: Michael Lee “Mike”(Reggie) LaVan and Gregory (Rhonda) LaVan, grandchildren: Michelle (Fiance: Christopher Bestgen) LaVan, Kenneth and John LaVan, Anthony (Kaila), great granddaughter: Liliana, sister in law: Joyce (Steve) Widynski and brother in law: Donald Rankin, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding Davie in death are her husband of 60 years: Kenneth Lee LaVan, parents: Lake and Dave Hensley, sisters: Betty J. Patrick, June Yates, and Connie Mays, brother in law: Donald LaVan and sisters in Law: Audrey Butterbaugh and Nancy Rankin. Friends will be received from 5:00- 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged during all publicly attended events. A funeral service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the funeral home.
