Diana Joyce Machi

March 23, 1939 - April 16, 2022

Diana Joyce Machi (nee Mizanin) passed away on April 16, 2022, at the age of 83, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. She was born on March 23, 1939, in Bedford Ohio and was the daughter of John and Marie Mizanin. She was a graduate of Bedford High School and, in fact, was the Prom Queen in her senior year. Diana was the adored wife of Michael J. (Mickey) Machi for a loving and fun-filled forty-four years, eight months, fifteen days, and thirty minutes. She is the mother of Scott Carlson (deceased) and Kelly Voase (Charles), stepmother to Michael C. Machi, and Teri (Machi) Schecter, grandmother to Callyn, Cassidy, and Camryn Voase, and step grandmother to Cole and Anna Schecter. She leaves behind her brother, John Mizanin (Perri) and nephew Justin Mizanin (deceased). Diana was a model wife, mother, grandma and friend. She was the family’s biggest cheerleader and always full of encouragement and positivity. She had a flair for entertaining, buying the most unique and personal gifts, and was known for treating everyone with love and kindness. She had many “forever” friends. She loved to be on the go, whether it was lunching with girlfriends, shopping for something she “absolutely needed” (NOT), spending together-time with friends ... or just going for long rides in the country with her honey. To know her was to love her, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. A celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be determined. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in her name to a charity of choice.
