Edmund D. Vitolano

September 22, 1916 - October 24, 2014

Edmund D. Vitolano, age 98, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Mentor, passed away October 24, 2014 at The Villages Regional Hospital in FL. He was born Sept 22, 1916 in Cleveland. Mr. Vitolano founded Vitco Inc. in 1973 and retired in 1984.

Survivors include his daughters Tereslyn Raglow and Kathryn (Dave) Ehrhardt; son Edmund N. (Faith) Vitolano; grandchildren Kristin (Tom) Dobry, Edmund J. Vitolano, James B. (Stephanie Day) Raglow, Kerri (Jim) Dray and Susan (Tony) Catania; great grandchildren, the “Honey Bunnies” Emily, Claire and Julia Dobry, Halle, Lydia and Kiersten Dray, Ella Catania, Rosie Raglow and “Peter Rabbit” Anthony C. Catania; brother in law Richard Lanese and sister in law Angie Vitolan. He was preceded in death by his wife Bettina “Bess” (nee Cortese) Vitolano; son in law Jim Raglow; parents Nicholas and Theresa (nee Jantonio) Vitolano; brother Gilbert Vitolan; sister Grace Valerian and brother in law Mitty Valerian.

A memorial mass will be held 10 am Monday November 10, 2014 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.

Private inurnment will be in Mentor Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Edmund D. Vitolano to The Villages Regional Hospital, Auxiliary Foundation, suite 1829, 1501 North U.S. Highway 441, The Villages, FL 32159.

I just learned of Ed's passing. He was a good man who brought me to Ohio to work with Vitco in 1977. I held him in high regard and will carry fond memories of him forever. My condolences to all his family.
