Edward J. Szletsky Jr., age 78 of Wickliffe, OH, died Monday March 23, 2020 at Lake West Medical Center, Willoughby, OH. He was born January 31, 1942 in Cleveland, OH. After retirement Mr. Szletsky worked at Cleveland Growers Association. Prior to that he was a retired Supervisor/ Produce Manager at the former Tops Supermarkets which were the former Pick n Pay Supermarkets. Ed was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the UFCW United Food and Commercial Workers Union. Ed was a graduate of Benedictine High School. He enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Erie and was a former member of the Chagrin Lagoons Yacht Club. Ed is survived by his children: Edward J. Szletsky III and Danielle (Tim) Russo, grandsons: Brian and Brandon Ferrier, sister: Marilyn (Jon) McCollister and his best furry companion: Sasha. Preceding Ed in death are his former wife: Lisa Logan, parents: Edward J. and Sabina (Bransted) Szletsky Sr. Once current public gathering restrictions due to COVID -19 are lifted a celebration of Ed’s life will be scheduled for a later date at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
