Eleanore "Ellie" (nee Toth) King

July 21, 1925 - May 26, 2021

The Lord called Ellie home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, peacefully and from natural causes. She was 95 years old and living at Vitalia Senior Residence at Strongsville. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia and Kathleen, who reside in California. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte Burns, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Ellie lead a blessed life being married to (Sheldon, deceased) for 54 years and raising her two daughters. Always happy and ready to meet new people and available for old friends. Eleanore volunteered weekly at Valley Lutheran Church in Chagrin Falls making Braille books for the blind; Garden Club with Joy; and what Pat called the Arts and Crafts for Middle Aged Retarded women went onto making and teaching neighbors, friends and family how to make pinecone wreaths, bread dough flowers, jewelry, etc. When they moved to Concord Township, she and Shel spent time planting and tending to their yard. Ellie took a lot of pride in her daffodil patch. Many years were spent having lunch with her sisters, Charlotte, (Edith Pritchard, deceased and Dorothy Drozda, deceased) every Wednesday, which she looked forward to every week. The “WEDNESDAYS” lunch bunch met weekly for lunch talking over daily life and catching up with each other in their separate busy lives. Never was this event to be disturbed, except for an absolute emergency. This was their precious time together as siblings. During the winter months, they packed up and travelled to California until Spring, then returned to Ohio. She enjoyed having two Springs, one in California and again at her home. Private inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boston Heights, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693 or the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44106. Arrangements entrusted to the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Mentor, OH. Please offer condolences at www.brunners.com.
