Fred A. Ruggeri, Sr., 74, of Leroy Twp., passed away November 5, 2021 at his home with his family. He was born November 11, 1946 in Cleveland. Fred retired as a Quality Control Inspector. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, golfing, tinkering, lending a helping hand, and coaching others. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Fred’s hobbies were watching and cheering for the New York Yankees, listening to country music, and taking in cowboy movies. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors are his wife, Carol Ruggeri; children, Fred (Rachel) Ruggeri Jr., Lori Ruggeri-Cornelius, Jennifer (Michael) Koubeck, and Denise (Scott) Pietrzak; grandchildren, Veronica, Ashley, Jessica, Sean, Amber, Paige, Maci, Yogi, Caleb, and Bryce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lillian Ruggeri, and his daughter, Lynn Marie Ruggeri. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral service to remember Fred will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
