Joan L. Goodrich

December 14, 1941 - December 8, 2021

Joan L. Goodrich, 79, of Mentor, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was born December 14, 1941 in Belsano, PA. Mrs. Goodrich worked as a payroll administrator at Intermediate Unit 8 in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania for 38 years until her retirement in 2004. She enjoyed serving her church and community but most importantly spending time with her family. She was not afraid of anything. When the world told her “That’s not possible” she replied, “All things are possible with Jesus who gives me strength” and accomplished the impossible. She successfully held the role of mother and father figure in the life of her children. She humbled herself before the Lord and believed in his promises. Jesus upheld her with his mighty right hand and gave her every promised blessing. She had a life well lived and now lives in eternal peace with the Lord Jesus Christ. Survivors include her children, Cathy Goodrich, Carolyn (John) Garvey, Chris (Cherise) Goodrich; grandchildren, Sean, Shannon, Caitlyn, and CJ; brother, David (Eleanor) Findley and sister, Ruth (Jim) Dyson; She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Esther Findley; brother, Clarence Findley and sister, Arlene Findley. The family will celebrate Joan’s life by receiving friends from 9:30 – 11:30 am on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Freedom Assembly Church, 5420 West Heisley Rd., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral service after the greeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at Hambden Twp. Cemetery.
