John V. Ramski

February 14, 1950 - February 3, 2022

John V. Ramski, 71, of Eastlake, died February 3, 2022 at his home. He was born February 14, 1950 in Cleveland. John worked at the City of Eastlake, retiring as assistant service director after 35 years. His family and friends were the most important things in life. John loved coaching children in sports, golfing and playing the drums and the bass guitar in several bands in his spare time. John will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife, Janet Ramski; children, David Weigel, Daniel (Chris) Weigel, John (Dawn) Ramski and Joni Ramski; grandchildren, Brandon (Brittany) Weigel, BreAnna (Patrick) Yeo, Joshua (Nicole) Weigel, Jenna Weigel, Johnny Ramski and Lilliana Wellbaum; great grandchildren, Robert, Lucas, Mae Marie and Baby Yeo; and his sisters, Arlene Presley, Elizabeth Ramski and MaryAnn Ramski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfons and Irene Ramski; great granddaughter, Emmalynn Weigel; brothers, Frederick and Raymond Ramski; mother and father in law, Lillian and Donald Burk; sister in law, Joann Stolar; daughter in law, Gretchen Weigel; and his brother in law, Eric Presley. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A memorial service to conclude the gathering will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will be held in All Souls Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Body of Christ Church, 38057 Erie Rd., Willoughby, OH 44094. Please offer condolences at www.brunners.com.
