Judith M. Hokavar, age 74, of Mentor, died January 6, 2021 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born July 5, 1946 in Cleveland. Mrs. Hokavar worked at the 3M Corporation until she retired. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Williamsfield, Ohio and time spent with her husband Dennis. In her earlier years Judy would love to share moments traveling and going on vacations with her loving husband Dennis, spending days upon days fishing together on their pontoon boat. She looked forward to her multiple daily conversations and time with her best friend and daughter Lorrie. Her world revolved around her precious companion “TOOTSIE GIRL” her Westie dog. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Hokavar; children, Lorrie (Edward) Gvora; Dan Stech (Teresa Weiss), Brian (Tracey) Stech, and Norm Stech; stepchildren, Paula (Edgardo) Morales, and Julie (Thomas) Shea; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters, Joyce (Daniel) Ferritto, and Kim (Chris) Landers; brother, Bill (Loretta) Hayes; and her dog, Tootsie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and June Hayes (Weaver); brother, Bob Hayes; niece Michelle Hayes and her former husband, Norman Stech Sr. Private family services will be held in memory of Judith with burial taking place at 9:30 am on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens 11521 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland, OH 44026 (Please meet at the cemetery.) Church Services and a celebration of life will be held a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to American Cancer Society.
