Marie G. Mauer, age 90 of Kirtland, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at University Hospitals, Cleveland, OH. She was born on May 10, 1931 in Cleveland, OH. She retired from Lake Health as a Certified LPN, was the past President of Our Lady’s Guild at Divine Word, past Girl Scout Leader, enjoyed gardening, but mostly she loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Jeanne (Craig) Vaughn, John Mauer, Joanne (Timothy) Brenenstuhl, Julia (Robert) Kenney, and Jacquelyn (Gordon) Woodworth; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn Graham and Joseph (Diane) Giacomin ; sisters-in-law, Catherine Timko and Julia Tomoletz and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mauer; parents, Bart and Rose Giacomin; in-laws, Elizabeth and Louis Mauer; sister, Joan Adams; daughter, Judith Mauer; nephew, Joseph J. Giacomin and sister-in-law, Mary Ida Mauer. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, OH 44094 and from 10-11 am, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the church. The funeral mass will begin at 11 am. Burial to follow in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, OH. Arrangements entrusted to Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Mentor, OH.
