Robert “Bob” F. Niccum, 95, of Mentor passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. He was born August 3, 1925 in Elkhart, IN., to the late Clarence and Emma Niccum. Bob was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. He served as the Euclid Municipal Court judge for 29 years. Bob continued as a visiting judge throughout the state of Ohio until he was 80. He was an active member of many service organizations. Bob enjoyed camping, hiking and motorcycling. He was an avid reader of history. Bob was a proud fan of his alma mater The Ohio State Buckeyes. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Shirley Niccum (nee: Zanzig); children, Doug (Pam) Niccum, Laurel (Al) Rakas and Janet (John) Just; grandchildren, Kari (Jake) Hildreth, Kristin (Alex) Rosenberg, Lilly Rakas and Zachary Just; great-grandchildren, Kate Hildreth and Penny Rosenberg and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Preceding Bob in death is his brother, David R. Niccum. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 24 at 1:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Ave., Painesville 44077. A private family burial will take place in Mentor Cemetery prior to the memorial service. Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O.
