Robert McCann

Robert McCann, age 82 of Mentor, OH, saw his final sunset and peacefully passed away on February 25, 2022, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born in Cleveland, OH. Robert was the devoted husband of 51 years to Karen; a loving and cherished father to Chad (Barbara) McCann; and grandad to Colin, Julia, and Alyssa. Bob enjoyed fishing at the pond with Chad and his children. He also enjoyed playing softball with the Mentor Huffers and Puffers and playing ping pong at the Mentor Senior Center. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from AT&T after 30 years of service and the Mentor Lowes after 18 years. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice House west wing for the care and compassion shown to Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Francis McCann; sister, Anne McCann; aunts and uncles, Dorothy and Frank Trunk, Alice McCann, Richard, and Cecelia McCann; and cousins, Henry Deitrick, Richard Sleith, and Harry Sleith.
