Stephan "Steve" A. Wrenn

December 16, 1952 - June 28, 2021

Stephan A. Wrenn, age 68 of Mentor, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on December 16, 1952 in East Cleveland, Ohio to the late Eugene and Catherine Wrenn. Steve worked the last 21 years for Momentive Technologies, the former General Electric in Willoughby. Previous to this he was with Sherwin Williams in Bedford. Steve loved the great outdoors. Throughout the years fishing on his boat in Lake Erie was a favorite pastime for him and whoever wanted to go along. He got Jacob hooked on fishing. The camping trips in the pop up camper when the children were young to Ohio campsites and along the Atlantic Ocean were always great adventures. He played football, baseball, hunted, golfed, and bowled. He has his Black Belt in karate and loved teaching the kids basic karate moves. He loved his annual trip to Hutchinson Island, Florida and visiting his dearest friends, Pat and Butch in Okeechobee. Thoughts of visiting cousins Melvin and Betty and relatives of Chris’ in Pennsylvania were being planned for this year. He cherished the times he could spend with his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. He believed and professed his love and the saving grace of Jesus Christ. “If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.” Stephan is survived by his wife, Christine Wrenn; children, Ben (Jenny) Wrenn, Katie Wrenn, Amanda (Vince) Dobrski, and Jacob Wrenn; grandchildren, Joseph and Anna Wrenn, and Brooke and Sage Dobrski; siblings, Jeanne Crow, Barb (Larry) Korosce, Karen (Mike) Rupert, and Eugene (Suzanne) Wrenn; mother-in-law, Genevieve Borcas; brother-in-law, Dave (Denise) Borcas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Walter Borcas; and brother-in-law, Larry Crow. The family will receive friends 4-8 pm, Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
