Vincenzo “Jim” Guzzi, age 90, of Painesville Twp., died January 9, 2022 at his home. He was born November 17, 1931 in Rosemont, West Virginia. A U.S. Marine who proudly served his country, Jim worked as a welder at Euclid Hitachi. He always loved working in his garden, painting, raising beagles and rabbits, watching western movies and especially loved feeding squirrels and birds. Survivors include his children, Nikki Rosso, James, Curtis, Wally, Paul (Lori), and Vincenzo Guzzi and Gina (David) Baker. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren and his siblings, Gene, Brenda and Mary, He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E. Guzzi; parents, Giuseppe and Rachela Guzzi; granddaughter, Heather Guzzi; and his infant daughter, Ruth Ann Guzzi. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral service to conclude the gathering will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be held at Grafton Military Cemetery in West Virginia.
