William D. Morgan (Bill), 89, of Ashtabula, formerly of Mentor and Naples, Florida, died December 21, 2020, at his home. He was born March 10, 1931, in Cleveland. Bill retired from Parker Hannifin after a long career as a tool and die maker. He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, camping, cruises, and visiting casinos. Bill, “Gramps”, was an amazing man and role model to his family. He raised 12 children (6 sons, 6 daughters) alongside his beautiful wife Kitty\Grams of 70 years. He created a family of 24 grandchildren (12 boys, 12 girls), 27 great-grandkids, and 4 great-great grandkids. He was a man who defined generosity, humbleness, strength, courage, forgiveness, and love. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; children, Christine Carran, William (Ruby) Morgan, Catherine (Mark) Richarz, Michael (Pam) Morgan, Cheryl (Rene) Velez, Cynthia (Rusty) Chervin, Kenneth (Denise) Morgan, Colleen (Frank) Haller, Carolyn Good, Thomas (Kathy) Morgan, Donald (Chris) Morgan; and 24 loving grandchildren, 27 loving great-grandchildren, and 4 loving great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Sternisha, and his son, Ronald Morgan. A funeral mass in memory of William will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060 (Please meet at the church.)
