James A. "Pitman" Murray, age 73, of Chardon for the past 10 years and
formerly of Eastlake, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at Chardon Healthcare.
He was born March 11, 1936, in Cleveland.
Mr. Murray worked as an auto mechanic for Firestone for 25 years.He enjoyed
making ceramics, woodcrafts and talking on CB radios and had the handle
"Pitman."
Survivors are his daughter, Janet (Jack) Buckeye; son, Mark (Susan) Murray;
grandchildren, Jack and Andrew Buckeye, and Mark and Jessica Murray;
sisters, Helen Ferguson and Charlotte (Fred) Stoldt; brother, Chuck (Ted
Robinson) Murray; former wife, Eddey Gress; sister-in-law, Shirley Murray;
and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Austin and Helen; and brother, Robert.
Funeral services will be held 12noon Sunday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation
Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060 where the family will receive friends from 10 am till noon Sunday at the funeral home.
The family will host a reception in the Brunner Community Room immediately
following the service on Sunday.
Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 1, at Knollwood Cemetery, section
24. Please meet at the cemetery.
