Margaret "Peg" Naomi (Hershey) Olm, age 83, of Mentor for the past 55 years, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born Nov. 10, 1926, in Cleveland.

Mrs. Olm was a retired waitress from the The Cabin Restaurant in Willowick. Prior to that, she worked at Hellreigel's Restaurant in Painesville.

She was a member of one of the founding families of St. Bede the Venerable Church on Mentor, where she was in the Legion of Mary, a Eucharistic Minister, taught CCD, and organized Our Lady's Rosary Makers. She loved playing bingo, pinochle and the organ and music.

Survivors are her daughter, Robin (James V.) DeMaria of Bristol, Ind.; son, Patrick (Christine A.) Olm of Mentor-on-the-Lake; daughter, Celeste (Michael) Metz of Cincinnati; six grandchildren, Christopher (Andrea "Dawn") DeMaria, Gregory (Laura) DeMaria, Jeffrey DeMaria, Melissa and Danielle Olm and Jennifer (Yong) Park; nine great-grandchildren, Kaden, Anna, Hallie, Andie, Christian, Tessa, Vincent, Alexis and Jayden; sister, Charlynne Tuscany of Port Canaveral. Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Olm; daughter, Michel Olm; son, David Lester Olm and her sister Patricia Marks.

Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday February 18, 2010 at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. Rosary service at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
