Virginia
J. (DeKellis) Bondra, age 84, a longtime Mentor resident, died Tuesday, Feb.
7, 2012, at her daughters home. She was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Bondra was a homemaker. Virginia and her husband Cliff, where one of
the founding families of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor. She loved to
garden, swim, ice skate and bird watch.
Survivors include her children, Dr. Daniel L. (Deborah) Bondra, DDS of
Fayetteville, N.C., Dee Ann (William) Schmid of Chardon, Donna (Jeff) Arnold
of Willoughby, Dr. John M. (Kathy) Bondra of Fremont, Kevin D. (Joyce)
Bondra of Macomb Township, Mich., and Ginnyne Patricy of Mentor; 13
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Norma Coletta of Brookpark.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford M. Bondra; infant
son; parents, John and Lucia DeKellis; five sisters; three brothers; and
son-in-law, Henry "Hank" Patricy.
Funeral Mass will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at St. John
Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brunner Sanden
Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery in Mentor.
