Forrest
""Woody"" Brown, age 84, of Mentor for the past 16 years, formerly of
Wickliffe, died Jan. 28, 2012, at his residence. He was born Jan.
31, 1927, in Cleveland.
Mr. Brown had retired from the Cleveland Fire Department as a lieutenant
after 25 years of service. He was co-owner of Euclid Disposal and a
U.S. Marine Corps. veteran. Mr. Brown enjoyed golfing,
fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ann (Gartland); daughters, Karen
(Stephen) Wahl of Chardon and Barbara Brown of Willoughby; sons, Stephen
(Renee) Brown of Willowick and Dr. Scott (Kelly) Brown of Millersburg;
10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nephew; Tim (Holly) Love of
Richmond, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Arhar.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at
Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor
Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.
31, 2012, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in All Souls Cemetery,
Chardon Township.
