Cristina
M. (Fiorda) Di Mario, 66, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at the
Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born June 7, 1945, in Civitanova del Sannio, Campobasso, Italy, she lived in
Cleveland before moving to Mentor 41 years ago.
In her leisure time, Cristina enjoyed cooking Italian food and babysitting
numerous kids.
Cristina is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Di Mario; daughter,
Filomena C. (Di Mario) Crawford of Alexandria, Va.; son, Enrico J. (Carline)
Di Mario of Chicago; sisters, Memena Fiorda and Anna Fiorda of Italy; and
brother, Aldo Fiorda of Italy. She was also the cherished grandmother of
Nicole C. Crawford; aunt of many; and sister-in-law to Clara Lucarino, Maria
(Emilio) Ciolfi, and Nick (Leesa) Di Mario.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Angela Fiorda, who
were formerly of Italy.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the
Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave.,
Mentor.
A funeral Mass will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Mary of the
Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave, Mentor. (Please meet at the church.)
Burial will follow in Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor.
