Wilma J. Eaton, age 86, of Mentor went to be with her Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ on Friday, January 13, 2012 in Greenville, S.C. Born
May 29,
1925
in Riverside, CA,
Wilma was a long time resident of Mentor. She was an active member of
Erieside Church on the Boulevard and Bible Community Church of Mentor
for many years. She served as Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible
School teacher and director and hosted many pastors, evangelists and
missionaries from around the nation and the world.
Wilma was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker but also worked outside
the home in many capacities. She was successful in sales for Natural
Impressions, Electrolux , and Juice Plus+. Before retirement she worked
for a catering company and was employed by Companion Care serving the
elderly in their homes.
Her hobbies included cooking, sewing and gardening. She loved to
travel; enjoying frequent trips to visit children and grandchildren. A
treasured memory for Wilma was a trip to London, England in 2000 with
her daughter, Nancy, and friends.
Wilma is survived by children, David H. (Patricia) Eaton of Mount
Vernon, Nancy J. (Douglas) Pinkham of Greenville, SC and Deborah A.
(Clayton) Johnson; grandchildren, Sgt. First Class Michael (Brittany)
Eaton, Katherine (Kevin) Iannetta, Lauren (Jake) Thomsen, Jaclyn Pinkham,
Gina Johnson and Lyndsay (Chris) Pauler; great granddaughters, Isabella
Faith Eaton and Kiriana Fortunata Iannetta.
Wilma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Henry R.
Eaton.
Family and friends
are invited to a graveside service 11am Saturday January 21, 2012 at
Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Rd, Chesterland, OH
44026. A memorial service will be held 12:30 pm Saturday at Brunner
Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave.,
