C. (D'Elia) Graziano, 77, of Mentor for the past 39 years, formerly of
Worcester Mass., died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Heartland of Mentor, after a
16-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born May 2, 1932, in
Worcester, Mass.
Mrs. Graziano graduated from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing and
went to work as a registered nurse for the Visiting Nurse Association of
Worcester.
She met her future husband, Joe, while vacationing at Hyannis, Cape Cod.
They married Jan. 2, 1960, and started their 47 years together in Dunkirk,
N.Y. They enjoyed spending time at St. Pete Beach during the winter months,
and enjoyed many trips to Italy and Las Vegas.
She was at her happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her
grandchildren. She was also a member of St. Bede the Venerable Catholic
Church in Mentor.
Survivors are her children, Theresa (Anthony) Gallo of Euclid, Anthony
Graziano of Akron, Dr. Joseph (Patti) Graziano Jr. of Poland, Ohio, and John
(Meghan) Graziano of Stow; grandchildren, Madeline, Paul, Lucia, Sophia,
Dominic and Joseph Graziano; sisters, Mary Biscotti and Ann Iandoli, both of
Worcester, Mass.; brother, Charles (Clara) D'Elia of Shrewsbury, Mass.; and
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph A. Graziano Sr., who died July
25, 2007; parents, Pasquale and Theresa (Lopardo) D'Elia; sisters, Camilla
Dintini, Rose Palumbo, Rita McGlamary and Theresa McCarthy; and brothers,
Ralph "Jack" and Joseph D'Elia.
Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic
Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor 44060. The family will host a reception
in the Brunner Community Room immediately following the Mass.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Brunner Funeral Home &
Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060. Entombment will be in
Mentor Cemetery in Mentor.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action
