Doris E. (Hunt) Helmick, age 85, of Painesville Township, formerly of Euclid, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Lake Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township.  She was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Cleveland Heights.

Mrs. Helmick was a bank teller for the former National City Bank at the Babbitt/Lakeshore branch in Euclid for 22 years until her retirement in 1985.

She was a member of St. Gabriel Church in Concord Township, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1500 where she was a past treasurer. She was a graduate of Villa Angela High School.

Survivors are her daughters, Barbara (Bill) Ardrey of San Jose, Calif., Donna King of Cleveland, Patricia (Keith) Quick of Lock, Ohio and Theresa (Alvin) Brown of Concord Township; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Helen) Hunt of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Calvin C. Helmick; three sisters, Eileen Ortega, Ruth Gregg, and Elizabeth Ferrante; and brother, Raymond Hunt.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday February 12, 2010 at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060. Interment will be at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
