Robert
Edward Kopman, age 85, a longtime Mentor resident, passed away Feb. 8, 2012,
at Hospice House. He was born June 12, 1926, in Cleveland.
Robert had retired as a district claims manager for Nationwide Insurance
after 40 years.
He was a member of Mentor United Methodist Church, an avid bowler and
golfer, and enjoyed watching football. He was also a U.S. Army Air Corps
veteran.
He was the loving father of Christina (Harold) Lecher of Tennessee; dear
grandfather of three; and great-grandfather of one.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann "Peg"; son, Kenneth
Robert Kopman; and parents, Harold and Vera Kopman.
A memorial service will be held noon Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Mentor
United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Inurnment will
be at Mentor Cemetery.
