Julius
"Jules" Kovach, 78, of Mentor-on-the-Lake for 52 years, and formerly of
Cleveland, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Hospice House in
Cleveland surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 22, 1933, in Summerhill, Pa.
Julius served in the U.S. Army, obtaining the rank of Corporal. Mr. Kovach
was an avid golfer, stamp collector, flea marketer, garage saler and
collector of many items. He loved warm sunny weather and traveling. Julius
was a wonderful husband and devoted man to his entire family. He touched
many lives of so many others. If you should need something his classic
answer was "Its on the bench," and one of his joy's were feeding the birds
and squirrels in the backyard.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sue "Suzie" Kovach; children, Danny
(fiancee, Donna Burdette) Kovach, Dennis (Debbie) Kovach, David (Jean)
Kovach, Donny Kovach, Michelle Silvestro, and "adopted" daughter, Lynette
(Dave) Czehut; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Julia Kovach; and
brothers, Joe, Steve, Bill and Frank.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the
Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave.,
Mentor.
Immediately following the service the family will host a time of
food and fellowship from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the Upper level in the Brunner
Reception Center.
