Jim Roberts

Jim Roberts, age 79, of Willoughby since 1983, and formerly of Bay Village, died Feb. 1, 2012, at his residence. He was born Jan. 31, 1933, in Detroit, Mich.

Mr. Roberts was owner of Jim Roberts Buick for seven years. Prior to that, he had worked for the Buick Motor Division for 22 years.
He was a member of Chagrin Lagoons Yacht Club, where he had his boat "Shatzi" and enjoyed spending time at the yacht club with family and friends. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his daughters, Lynn (Tom) Clarkson, Deb (Tony) Vehovec and Patsy (Tim) Gufreda; son, Jim (Darleen) Roberts; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Joann) Roberts and John Roberts; sister-in-law, Marian Brems; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Arthur.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie; parents; and one brother.

Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, OH 44060. (Please meet at the church). Interment will be at Willoughby Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
