V. Weidig, age 87, a longtime Mentor resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 24,
2010, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born Oct. 18,
1922, in Ashtabula.
Mrs. Weidig was a homemaker.
Survivors are her two daughters, Janet Erskine of Concord Township and
Kathleen (Walter Jr.) Iliff of Eastlake; son, Kenneth (Beth) Weidig of
Mentor; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa) Erskine, Christopher (Deborah)
Erskine, Caryn Erskine, Michelle (Dale) Crowley, Melissa (John) Kerr,
Meredith (James) Velez and Kevin (Hallaryn) Weidig.; great-grandchildren,
Mikayla, Taylor, Caitlin, Sydney, Shelby, Connor, Meghann, Savanna, Kaylee
and Jack; sister, Moneta Flack of Ashtabula; former son-in-law, Craig
Erskine; and dear friend, Helga Stang.
She was preceded in death by husband, William A. Weidig; and parents, Albert
and Myrth Aunger.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday March 2, 2010 at Grace Episcopal
Church, 36200 Ridge Road, Willoughby.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Brunner
Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will
be at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor.
The family suggests contributions be made to a favorite charity of one's
choice. |
