Pauline "Paula" J. Posatiere

Pauline “Paula” J. Posatiere, age 85 of Mentor, passed away May 29, 2023. She was born April 24, 1938, in Cleveland, OH to the late Lawrence and Josephine (nee Moavero) Posatiere. Early on, Paula worked as a travel agent for American Express. She then joined her family in opening the Little Mountain Farmer’s Market in Mentor, Ohio in 1976. She loved working closely with her father, brother, and many other family members over the years. Her smiling face and pleasant conversation filled the market and brought customers back time and again. She enjoyed bowling with her girlfriends in a league for many years. They continued to stay close and enjoyed regular dinner outings and birthday celebrations. Paula’s love was family gatherings and she thrived when she was preparing and serving a homecooked meal. Paula was best known for her beautifully set table along with homemade pasta and meatballs, which was passed down to her by Grandma Jo. Anyone who knew Paula was certain that she loved and cared for them. She has left her family with countless, lasting memories of her kindness, compassion, and selfless nature. She is a treasure to all that knew her. She is survived by her brother, Ross Posatiere, and sister, Joann Knop; nieces: Louisa (nee Posatiere) Allbritton, Tina Posatiere, Renee Rhodes, Sharon Knop; nephews: Ross Posatiere Jr. and Nicholas (Brianna) Posatiere; great nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Angelina and Ariel Posatiere, Haven and Jonathon Rhodes, Joey Knop, Alayna, Domanic and Liliana Posatiere. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Monday, June 5, 2023, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord Twp., OH 44060. Please meet at church. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, OH. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Redhawk Grille, 7481 Auburn Rd., Concord Twp., OH 44077, following the cemetery.
