Robert (Bob) B. Murch

Robert (Bob) B. Murch, age 76 of Kirtland, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by family & friends. Bob was born November 3, 1946 in Cleveland. Bob is now reunited with Kathie, the love of his life. Bob attended Culver Military Academy and Northwood Technical College in Cedar Texas. Bob was a founding member of M.H.M., LTD., curated a career in sales with the Cleveland, Ohio United Screw & Bolt Corporation, followed his entrepreneurial spirit with the launch of Bob Murch Chevrolet and as the President of Endura Plastics. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, golf, was passionate about riding snowmobiles & motorcycles, sailing and baseball. As a community leader, Bob served on the Kirtland Zoning Board of Appeals for 40 years. His philanthropic contributions were numerous starting with the Murch Foundation, the Holden Arboretum, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Kirtland Fire Department, Great Cranberry Fire Department and had a deep appreciation and respect for all those that served. Bob was a life-long resident of Kirtland, Ohio and an active, seasonal resident of Great Cranberry Island, Maine where he maintained a family residence. Bob took pride in his family’s achievements, celebrated by bringing family & friends together with generosity for all. Bob is survived by his children: Marcia (Dennis) Bucci, Marc (Connie) Murch, Margrit (Mark) Zito, Martin (Brandie Parise) Murch and Nicole Murch. He was affectionally known as Papa to his 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceding Robert in death is his loving wife of 41 years: Kathie L. Murch; parents: Boynton D. & Rita Murch and brother: Maynard H. Murch IV. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 5:00 pm Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
