Amy L. Novak

Amy L. Novak, RN (nee: Nainiger), 51, of Mentor, peacefully passed to her heavenly home on July 18, 2026, surrounded by her family after a rapid, brave and courageous battle against Neuroendocrine Cancer. Amy never faltered from her true self, she fought like a warrior demonstrating only dignity, poise, grace, understanding and her undeniable faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amy has been a dedicated and loyal nurse for over 31 years, with Mount St. Joseph, in Euclid, being her place of employment for over 20 years. Amy always welcomed a competitive match of pickle ball, 18 holes of golf, lifting weights, cornhole, poker and any other backyard games. Amy was a lover of music and books…. she founded “A” Book Club in 2022, being one of her greatest passions that will wholeheartedly be continued. Amy was an incredibly complex, determined, eccentric, faithful, fearless, funny, hardworking, helpful, independent, intelligent, kind, loving, loyal, opinionated, professional, and responsible, amazing being whose life left a mark (one way or another) to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Survivors include her mother, Judith Nainiger (nee: Kovic); siblings, Phillip (Marcy) Nainiger, Tracy (Shawn) Van Tassel and Judith Lamperski; nieces and nephews, John Daniel, Joshua (Abigail), Caleb, Marcyann, Julianna, Luke, Logan, London, Katrina, Tanner and Ryan and many other loving family members and friends including Sandy Westfall and the many staff members and residents at MSJ. Preceding Amy in death are her father, Phillip J. Nainiger and her loving rescue pups, Tyler and Perry. A Celebration of Life will be held in Amy’s honor at Rounders Lounge - 9175 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, Ohio 44060 on Sunday, August 9, 2026, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the family, for Amy’s memorial fund. A private family graveside service will be held for Amy at Perry Township Cemetery in Perry, Ohio at a later date. Amy’s family would like to sincerely thank the nurses at Reserve Hospice for the care they provided during her final earthly moments. Our grief for our Amy is not without hope, those closest to her are blessed with the assurance from God’s Holy Book that we will be together once again in the Lord’s time. Until then, Amy, you will be undoubtedly forever missed.
