Anthony P. Glovan III

Anthony P. Glovan III "Tony”, age 63, of Leroy Twp. succumbed to complications from surgery on Friday, October 23, 2020, at University Hospital, Cleveland, OH. He left us to go to his eternal home after a relentless battle in the hospital. Tony was born on February 2, 1957, in Cleveland., OH. He graduated from Euclid High School and Borromeo Seminary. After graduating from seminary, he met the love of his life, who he married shortly thereafter. Tony spent his entire career helping people, including roles as an EMT, Firefighter, Police Officer, and lastly Social Worker. He retired in 2017 after 30 years of service as a Support Administrator for Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Tony enjoyed spending quality time with his family, friends, and canine companions. He was fond of watching his beloved Indians and Westerns, target and trap shooting, grilling, cooking, smoking meats, listening to his favorite musicians, woodworking, and traveling. He was known for his playful sense of humor, generous nature, and was always quick to offer a helping hand. He is already greatly missed by those he loved. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years: Janet (Pfeffer) Glovan, children: Anthony P. Glovan IV "TJ” and Alyssa Glovan, siblings: John Glovan and Bonnie (Steve) Donnally and his two dogs: Mayley and Abbey. Late in life, Tony recommitted to Christianity and regularly attended Cornerstone Friends Church in Madison. Preceding Tony in death are his parents: Anthony P. and Alma Glovan. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Lakeshore Assembly of God, 8880 Lakeshore Blvd, Mentor, OH 44060.
