Connie Cottrell

Connie Cottrell, age 51, a resident of Denver, North Carolina, died on Monday November 7, 2022 in Hospice care. She was born April 29, 1971 in Willoughby, Ohio. Connie was a Mentor Schools bus driver and more recently worked as an inventory control associate. She was a graduate of Mentor High School, Class of 1989, who loved to travel. Connie especially loved to cruise to Europe “Italy” and Alaska. She was a connoisseur of dining out at her favorite restaurants both local and in her travels. Connie loved all animals especially her dogs Ella, Harley and Maddie. Survivors include her parents Bonnie Biddell Cottrell of Ohio and NC, and Henry Larry Cottrell of NC; brothers, Jason G. Cottrell of NC, and Patrick W. Cottrell and his wife, Jennifer Cottrell of Florida; nieces, Brianna Cottrell of Florida and Viktoria Cottrell of NC; nephews, Charles “Charlie” Cottrell of NC, Chase Cottrell of Florida, Blake Cottrell of Florida, Connor Pugh of Florida; several cousins in Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Virginia, Colorado and Kentucky; and her special friends, Lisa Mackel Whitaker and Shannon and Laura Horvath of Ohio. She is also survived by her uncles and aunts; Gregory Biddell of Washington, Ronnie Biddell of Ohio, Garry Cottrell of Florida, Tommy Cottrell and wife Elizabeth Cottrell of Kentucky, Shirley Barnes and husband Arthur Barnes of Michigan, and Ileana Norsworthy of Kentucky. Preceding Connie in death are her grandparents; Charles W Biddell, Joyce Thomas, James and Margaret (Wagenhalls) Biddell, and Tom and Dolly Cottrell; and her uncles and aunts, Edna and Joe Wilson of Ohio, Opal and Lester Short of Virginia, Michael and Beverly Biddell of Florida, Thomas and Evelyn Biddell, and Margaret Frye of Ohio. The Cottrell family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio 44060. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and will conclude the gathering. Private family inurnment will be in Mentor Cemetery, Mentor, Ohio at a later date.
