Dana Gechoff

Dana Gechoff, aged 83, passed away on Monday, April 5th, 2021, at The Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Fairlawn, Ohio. Dana was diagnosed with Myelodysplasia Syndrome in January 2021: she fought hard and lived life to the fullest, all the way to the end. Dana may be gone from life, but lives on forever in the hearts of her family. We love you always and forever: daughter, Kim Sparks (Mike), granddaughter, Kristin Peters (Nathan), granddaughter, Michelle Sparks (Dustin Conly), sister, Janet Folk, niece, Lorin Juengel (Scott), nephews, Bob Folk and Kevin Folk, great niece, Suzanne Juengel, and great nephews, Ryan Folk, Joshua Dieringer and Michael Juengel. Dana's true passion was gardening. She loved listening to classical music. Dana enjoyed many wonderful trips with her mother and sister, Janet, and husband Christian. Later in life she enjoyed two trips of a lifetime to Alaska and Paris, France. Dana loved time with her granddaughters while they were growing up: visiting zoo's, Sea World, and Cedar Point, to name a few. Some special family times throughout the years included yearly fall visits to Smithville and weekly football get-togethers to watch Ohio State games. Dana was a hard and dedicated worker. Dana was the Comptroller for Marting Realty Inc. for thirty-plus years. After Marting's was bought out she went to work for Buckeye Title, and then she worked for Stouffer Realty until her retirement in 2013. Dana was preceded in death by Edwin Culp (husband), Christian Gechoff (husband), Clarence and LaVonne Burch (parents), Marjorie Clifford (sister), and Evelyn Barber (sister). There will be no calling hours, nor public services. Dana's wishes were to be cremated and her ashes spread in places that were close to her heart.
