Frank and Alice Perkovich

Frank W. and Alice J. Perkovich together again after 70 years of marriage. Frank W. Perkovich, 89, of Mentor, died August 17, 2023 at University Hospitals TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. He was born May 18, 1934 in Leavittsville, Monroe Twp., Ohio. Frank graduated from Strongsville High School in 1952 and enjoyed playing the trumpet and playing football. Alice J. Perkovich, 90, of Mentor, died June 5, 2025 at her home. She was born July 14, 1934 in Parma, OH. Alice graduated from Brunswick High School in 1952. She enjoyed being a majorette. Frank and Alice lived in Strongsville, Ohio after they got married on May 28, 1955 at The Old Stone Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Frank worked at American Airlines in operations for 43 years and worked part time in real estate. After retiring they moved to Florida for 20 years. Frank’s hobbies were golfing and gardening. He enjoyed traveling, playing pinochle, dancing to and listening to polka music and spending time with family and friends. Alice worked as an executive secretary for Sylvania Electric and she also worked part time in real estate. Her hobbies were collecting Barbie Dolls and gardening. She enjoyed baking, shopping, playing pinochle, and listening to and dancing to polka music. Survivors include their children, Ben Perkovich and Yvonne Walker; their 4 loving grandchildren, Jamie, Mike, Matt and Jack; and Frank’s brother, Ted Perkovich and his sister in law, Grace Perkovich. Frank and Alice are also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Both Frank and Alice were preceded in death by their parents; their son in law, Guy Walker; Frank’s siblings, Rose, Velma (Andy) Chaplick, Violet (Bill) Kirk, John, Joe (Irene), Carl (Ruth), and Rudy; and Alice’s siblings, Agnus (Bill) Cable, Viola (Nick) Vintila, Ann (Bill), Irene, and Mike Sadowski. The family will receive friends to celebrate their lives from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral service to conclude the gathering will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will take place in Mentor Cemetery.
