Grace Harrison

Grace Harrison, 97, of Mentor, passed away peacefully, at her residence, on September 7, 2018. She is now living in her eternal home with her loving husband, Bernie, whom she was married to for 71 years. Grace was born March 18, 1921 in Harrison County, West Virginia. Mrs. Harrison was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking. She had a great love and respect for Mother Nature and often went on long walks through the woods. Grace also enjoyed going to flea markets, garage sales and camping. She often referred to herself as “AMAZING GRACE” AND SHE PROVED TO BE ALL THAT AND MORE! Her greatest love and passion were her family and we were blessed to have her in our lives for five (5) generations of memories, love and laughter shared through the years. Survivors are her children, Ralph Harrison and Lois Dekotch; grandchildren, Deborah Harrison, Todd (Bonnie) Harrison, Michael (Amy) Dekotch, and Tanya (Joseph) Foti; great-grandchildren, Robert (Katie) Southall, Cassidy Dekotch, BrookeLyn Harrison, Haley Smith and Brandon Smith; and great great-children, Scarlett Grace Southall, and Robert Harrison Southall. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard M. “Bernie” Harrison; parents, Claude and Bertha Barker; siblings, Clyde, Mary, Carrie, and Gerald; son-in-law, Mike Dekotch; and her daughter-in-law, Sandra Harrison.
