Jacqueline "Jackie" Peltz

Jacqueline “Jackie” Peltz, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026. Born in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Margaret (nee: Callahan) Denny. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Peltz, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage until his passing in 2024. Jackie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her sons, Michael Jr. (Heidi) of Charlotte, NC, and Todd (Donna) of Lyndhurst, OH; and her cherished grandchildren, Rebecca (Savaan), Elyssa, Michael III, Nick, and Joe; and great-grandchildren, Nora and Rowan, all of whom brought her great pride and happiness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; her parents; and her siblings, Shirley (Ken) Carson, Bob (Beverly) Denny, Richard (Virginia) Denny, Nancy (Frank) Nick, Bonnie Schoeneman, Peggy (George) Bostick, William (Emily) Denny, and Patti (Joe) Mucho; as well as her niece, Kimberly Carson, and nephew, George Bostick. Jackie dedicated 28 years of her career to retail management at Kaufmann’s (later Macy’s). She loved her grandchildren deeply and treasured every moment spent with family. She and her husband enjoyed many trips to Myrtle Beach, where they created lasting memories at their condo over the years. She also enjoyed visiting the casino and watching golf with her beloved husband. A faithful member of St. Bede the Venerable Church, Jackie generously volunteered her time in the food pantry, helped clean the church, and assisted with the Funeral Brunch Ministry. She formed many meaningful friendships throughout her life, and her warmth and laughter will be deeply missed. She had a strong and loving bond with her sons and always ensured her family was cared for. Though she could be a handful at times, it was always rooted in love. Her favorite quote, “Grant us peace,” reflects the calm spirit she wished for others and carried within herself. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Saturday May 23, 2026 at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral Mass to conclude the gathering will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Painesville.
