Jeffrey A. Wade

Jeffrey A. Wade, age 77 of Painesville Twp., formerly of Wickliffe, passed away June 16, 2018 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born January 8, 1941 in Steubenville, OH. Jeff retired after more than 27 years as an Information Technology Executive for Parker Hannifin Corp. in Cleveland. He graduated in 1955 from St. Aloysius grade school and was a 1959 graduate of St. John Cantius High School. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Jeff achieved the rank of Lance Corporal. He was a lifetime member of D.A.V. and also of the Col. Justice M. Chambers Marine Corps League. Jeff was a former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and most recently a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. He served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the finance committee, week #4 counting team, and was a former St. Gabe’s Festival Monte Carlo coordinator. He was a member of the Wickliffe Knights of Columbus, Council 5405. Jeff had been a former president of the Villa Angela Academy Endowment Board during the merger with St. Joseph High School and was a proud member of the Eastside Irish American club. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy (Dowd); daughters Sharon A. Wade, Therese M. (Michael) DeLucia, Denise L. (Bo) Polak and Maureen M. Wade; grandchildren Lisa M. (Michael Shaw) Wade, Michael A. DeLucia, Rachel M. DeLucia, Regina M. DeLucia, Anna C. Polak, Raymond J. Polak and Catherine L. Polak; sister Sheila A. Hordinski; dearest brother-in-law Joe Dowd, and loving family member and golf buddy, Rev. Frederick F. Pausche as well as other loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Anna (nee’ Racca) Wade and twin brothers Ronald and Donald Wade. The family will receive friends from 3-8 pm Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral mass will be held 12 pm Thursday June 21, 2018 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord Twp., OH 44060. Interment will be at a later date in Mentor Cemetery.
