Judith K. Grove

Judith K. Grove, 81, of Willoughby, died July 18, 2022 at her home. She was born September 17, 1940 in Alliance. Judy worked in various jobs in the hospitality industry. She was a manager at Bart’s Place in Mentor for many years and co-owned her own catering business. She also worked at BJ’s Wholesale Club and was very well known for her food demonstrations at Giant Eagle in Willoughby. Judy was a 1958 graduate of Alliance High School and always looked forward to attending her class reunions. She was an avid Indians fan and rarely missed watching a game. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Willoughby and the Willoughby Senior Center, where she enjoyed going on the various senior trips and mystery lunches. Judy had a generous heart and was extraordinarily thoughtful, always giving of herself to others. She had a very social nature and could frequently be found talking to others in person or on the phone, always keeping in touch with friends and family. Judy was very involved in her church, Advent Lutheran, and rarely missed Saturday evening services. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Rob (Sheri) Grove, Jeff (Darlene) Grove; grandchildren, Sydney (fiancé Malcolm Reho) Grove, Jason Grove, Karissa Grove, Samantha Grove, M.J. (Kelley Selhorst) Lotko, and Joshua Lotko; and her cousins, Barbara Sanderson, and Elsie Lewandoski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaylord and Louise Drumm; infant sister, Nancy Drumm; and her special cousin, Joyce Tausch. The family will receive friends to celebrate Judy’s life from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Advent Lutheran Church, 7985 Munson Rd., Mentor, OH 44060. A memorial service to conclude the gathering will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Private family inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Beloit, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to Advent Lutheran Church.
