Larry A. Kirkbride

In Loving Memory of Larry A. Kirkbride Larry Andrew Kirkbride, age 69, resident of Mentor, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Tripoint Medical Center in Concord, Ohio. He was born February 13, 1951 in Freeport, Ohio to the late Willard and Bernice Kirkbride. If you ask a hundred people who Larry was, they would all give you a different version of the same person. A best friend, a gentle soul or the hardest working man they ever knew. To his family he was a beloved husband, a proud father, a welcoming father-in-law and the greatest grandpa two kids could ever ask for. Larry was a United States Navy Veteran who served his country in Vietnam. In February of 2013, Larry retired after 34 years as a wheel cell operator and tender for Morrison Products Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio. During his retirement years, he spent every day with his love, Martha. They would often get away riding their Harley-Davidson on sunny mornings. He also enjoyed going on vacations with the whole family, watching a good John Wayne film, or sitting outside enjoying the warmth of every sunny day. Larry and his friends also rebuilt a 65’ Mustang Fastback, which was the first car he ever owned. His life was full of love and happiness. Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Martha Kirkbride; daughter, Angel (Anthony) Yanni; grandchildren, Jonathan Hunsucker and Harley Christine; in-law and friend, Dominic Yanni and siblings, Helen Osborne and Darlene Rohl. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio 44060. Military honors to conclude the visitation at 7:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place in Freeport, Ohio, at a later date. Social distancing is encouraged during all publically attended events.
