Michael "Mike" A. Boothe

Michael "Mike" A. Boothe, age 43 of Mentor-on-the-Lake, OH, passed away on February 23, 2024 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born June 28, 1980 in Willoughby, OH and is the loving son of Marsha and Thomas Boothe. Mike's early years were spent in Euclid where he attended Holy Cross grade school, Villa Angela-St Joseph High School and later graduated from Euclid High in 1999. He moved to Mentor in 2009 when he met and married the love of his life, Jes. Together Mike and Jes built a life full of happiness, love and laughter. He was an amazing stepfather to Alec and Drew and was proud to call them his sons. Mike loved nature and was happiest being outside where he truly felt free. Mike and Jes spent countless hours hiking in the rivers and woods with family and friends, hiking all across northeast Ohio. Mike loved rocks and was always on the lookout for his favorite rock, a bloodstone. He was an avid reader and loved the Warhammer series and even collected the mini figurines that he was going to one day paint himself. He was a treasure hunter and loved digging for bottles, finding some vintage or a unique piece on the side of the road, and searching through antique and thrift shops. He loved playing any game and played Magic the Gathering as well as other games regularly with his friends. He loved basketball and was a lifelong fan of the Cavs. Quick with a joke and a smile, Mike never met a person he couldn’t call his friend. He leaves behind his best friend of 30 years Tim Mazurik who was a constant companion playing games, just chilling and of course, their trips to the all-you-can-eat buffets. Mike was a machinist at American Punch in Euclid where he made a lot of friends and was looking forward to going back to one day. Mike leaves behind his loving wife Jes; stepsons, Alec and Drew; mother, Marsha Boothe, father, Thomas (Angel) Boothe; sister, Sydney Boothe; inlaws, Kathie and Scott Burlee; best friends Tim Mazurik and Michael Bruno; and countless other family and friends that Mike touched throughout his life. Mike is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Jean Hair; great-grandparents, Paul and Sue Trivisonno; paternal grandparents, Harold and Marion Boothe and brother-in-law, Charles Burlee. The family would like to thank the staff at Seidman Cancer Center for always taking such wonderful care of Mike and being so kind to him throughout his illness. A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the funeral home. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024 at All Souls Cemetery. Please arrive at meeting point B by 9:45 a.m., which is located by the main office in the cemetery property. We will line up at that point and process to the mausoleum for the committal service.
