Reba Lee (nee Stacy) Weaver

Reba Lee (nee Stacy) Weaver, 88, of Mentor, passed away peacefully November 5, 2024 at her home. She was born June 8, 1936 in Sparta, Tennessee. Reba was a devoted homemaker with a passion for life’s simple joys. She found great fulfillment in tending to her gardens and cheering on her favorite Cleveland sports teams, especially the Cavaliers. A dedicated volunteer, she gave her time generously to the Christ Child Society of Lake County. Reba took immense pride in her home and treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her earlier years, she enjoyed working alongside her kids on the family farm, where she found joy in caring for the horses and spending peaceful days outdoors with her loyal companion, Sherlock. A proud graduate of Mentor High School, Class of 1954, Reba was also an active member of the Lake County Democratic Women’s Club and the Serra Club of Northeast Ohio. Her warmth, strength, and deep love for her family will be cherished forever by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Cindy (Larry) Spanski, Becky (Dan) Weaver–Waina, Kim (Matt) Puskus, Pam Weaver (Steve Clay), William (Dawn) Weaver Jr., and Jennifer Weaver; grandchildren, Kyle (Erin), Sarah, Hannah (Jared), Kayla (Trent), Billy, Mary, Jack, and Owen; great grandchildren, Nora, Olivia, Ash, and Quinn; brother, Benton (Judy) Stacy; and her in-laws, Richard (Fran) Weaver and Betty Higgs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge William W. Weaver; parents, Lester and Georgia Stacy; and her siblings, Lester, Sidney, Kewin and Darrell. The family will receive friends to celebrate Reba from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral mass to honor her life will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2024 at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor, OH 44060. (Please meet at the church.)
