Sandra Jane "Sandi"(Hendershot) Savoca, 72, of Mentor, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic - Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights. She was born October 25, 1953, in Painesville. Sandi’s life was a beautiful example of faith, strength, perseverance, and unconditional love. For more than 40 years, she courageously battled multiple sclerosis, facing each challenge with quiet determination and remarkable grace. Though her physical struggles were immense, her spirit remained unshaken. She carried her burdens with dignity, rarely complaining, and continued to place her trust in God through every season of life. Her positivity, resilience, and unwavering hope inspired all who knew and loved her. To her family, Sandi was the heart of the home and the center of every gathering. She had a way of making people feel loved, welcomed, and cared for simply by being present. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she loved them fiercely and faithfully. Whether sharing laughter around the table, cheering on her grandchildren, or offering encouragement during difficult times, Sandi’s love was constant and comforting. Even in the hardest moments, she never gave up. Sandi taught those around her what true strength looked like - not only in enduring hardship, but in continuing to love deeply, hope endlessly, and trust faithfully. Her life was a testimony to resilience and grace, and the legacy she leaves behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was also a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Her Buckeye pride was unmistakable and brought her immense happiness throughout the years. Sandi is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Joe Savoca; her children, David (Wendy) Savoca, Jenna (Ryan) Vorhies, and Kyle (Lisa) Savoca; her beloved grandchildren, Carter, Cooper, Wyatt, Emma Kate, Annabelle Joy, Gianna, Ava, and Lucas; her siblings, Ruthann (Greg) Armstrong, Chris Hendershot, and Rob (Vickie) Hendershot; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Joy Hendershot, and her sister, Deborah Hendershot. A Celebration of Sandi’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Church of the Epiphany, 21000 Lakeshore Blvd., Euclid, Ohio 44123.
