Sharlene Marie Kirby

Sharlene Marie Kirby, 62, of Eastlake, passed away, March 19, 2026 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born January 25, 1964 in Cleveland, to the late Walter and Mary Feda. She dedicated over 20 years of her career at Olympus aerospace in the aerospace industry. She was respected for her hard work, loyalty, and commitment. Her work ethic was only matched by the care she gave to the people in her life. She was a devoted mother to her only child, Nicole, whom she loved fiercely. She was endlessly proud of everything her daughter accomplished and always stood as her protector, her biggest supporter, and her constant source of strength. More than anything, she wanted her daughter to have a happy and fulfilling life. She was also a loving wife to Gary, with whom she shared 22 wonderful years of marriage. Childhood friends who found their way back to each other later in life, their love story was one of connection, friendship, and lasting love. Together they enjoyed the simple joys of spending time outdoors, sharing a good meal, playing games around the fire, and soaking in warm summer nights side by side. Above all she was a proud and loving grandmother. Her grandchildren, Sophia and Colton were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. From sleepovers filled with laughter, homemade pizza nights and special trips together, she created memories they will carry with them forever. She was a true and loyal friend to many, always showing up with a kind heart and a listening ear. She had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and at home in her presence. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, camping, planting flowers, and spending time outdoors, but her greatest joy was in the kitchen. She believed that cooking a good meal was her way of bringing people together. Her home was often filled with the warmth of family dinners, especially with her siblings, as she made it a priority to keep those bonds strong and close. Sharlene will be remembered for her generosity, her unwavering love for her family, and the way she brought people together. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will live on in all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Gary Kirby; daughter, Nicole Pate; grandchildren, Sophia and Colton Pate; siblings, Susie (Tom) Geyer, Sandy (Henry) Demeza, Sheila Wilson and Mike Feda; brother-in-law, Gary Wilson; dog and furry companion, Penny and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Preceding Sharlene in death are her sister, Sally Wilson; brother-in-law, Wayne Wilson; son-in-law, Jason Pate and dog, Lucy. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio 44060. A funeral service to conclude the gathering will begin at 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2026 in All Souls Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Rd., Chardon, Ohio 44024. Please meet at the horseshoe entrance of the cemetery, off Rt. 6.
