It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Elizabeth Vyskocil (Roberts-Barkoukis), aged 74, on Monday, April 14, 2025. Sharon was a beloved mother, grandmother and member of the community, known for her unwavering dedication and vibrant spirit. Born October 31, 1950, in Auburn, NY to the late Neil and Marion Robert and raised in Akron, OH. Sharon had a lifelong connection with Akron City Hospital, where she worked tirelessly to provide support and assistance to countless patients, doctors and employees. Her commitment to healthcare extended to her role at Locum Medical, where she was respected for her expertise and compassion. A proud alumna of Malone University, Sharon cherished her educational journey and maintained strong ties with her alma mater. Her passion for learning and growth was evident in every aspect of her life. Sharon was an avid Harley enthusiast, finding joy and freedom in the open road. Her adventurous spirit was matched by her dedication to the Pipefitters community, where she made lasting contributions and friendships. Her volunteer work was a testament to her generous heart. As a Kirtland community volunteer and Farm Parks volunteer, Sharon devoted countless hours to improving the lives of others. She was also an active member of New Hope Ministries and New Promise Church, where she participated in Bible study and various volunteer activities, always ready to lend a helping hand. The Locust Ladies group held a special place in Sharon's heart, providing her with cherished friendships and a sense of belonging. Her faith and commitment to her community were unwavering, and she touched many lives with her kindness and dedication. Sharon is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 22 years, Jim Vyskocil; children, Cynthia (Brad) Hina and Paul (Amber) Barkoukis; stepson, James (Linda Bielawski) Vyskocil and grandchildren, Evan and Ryan Barkoukis and Jaymes Vyskocil. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, service, and adventure will live on in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held in Sharon's honor at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, at New Promise Church, 8671 Euclid Chardon Rd., Kirtland, OH 44057 Rest in peace, Sharon.
