Sue Manning

Sue Manning, 64, of Mentor, passed away August 13, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born August 23, 1960, in Euclid to the late Robert and Barbara Ward. Sue worked for Selman and Company a subsidiary of One80, for 21 years. She brought life and love with her everywhere she went with her enthusiasm for life and sarcastic sense of humor. She had many passions in life such as swimming, enjoying live music, cooking for her family, or just a casual hang out on the back deck of her family home; but none quite as passionate as the time she spent adventuring, attending events and going out to eat with her grandchildren. She could always be counted in for a breakfast date and loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife and best friend to her husband, Steve. A fiercely devoted mother, loving aunt, phenomenal friend and spectacular grandmother. Her exuberant energy had many calling her “Mama Sue”, as you could always count on her for a laugh, an ear to bend, and a shoulder to lean on. Truly one of a kind. Sue will be deeply missed by all that know and love her. Sue wanted her life to be celebrated, and so in observance of her wishes, and on her birthday, an Irish wake celebrating her life will be held at Spats Café, located at 9853 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor, OH 44060, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Steven Manning; daughter, Sarah Manning; stepchildren, Todd Manning and Jessica (Pito) Maldonado; grandchildren, Autumn Williams, Casey Williams, Rylan Karchefsky, Ariana Castiglione, Aurora Castiglione, Brayden Castiglione, Mathew Davis Jr. and Madden Manning; step-grandchildren, Nick, Gabby, Jackson, Angel, Sue-Sue and Andy Maldonado; brother, James Ward; sister-in-law, Lisa (Jimmy) Blotnick; brothers-in-law, Al Bush and Michael (Mary) Manning; mother-in-law, Juanita Rumora; pets, Scanner and Bonnie and Clyde and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
