Theresa "Terri" L. Richards (nee: Benedum)

Theresa “Terri” L. Richards, 62, (Benedum) of Concord, passed away after a lingering illness on November 2, 2022. She was born January 20, 1960, in Cleveland. Terri lived all her life in Lake County and was a true humanitarian. Terri loved helping people, and her job at Lake County Job and Family Services was the perfect place for her to achieve her goals. After retiring from LCJFS, Terri continued in another service industry as a make-up artist until her illness made it necessary to retire again. Lastly, Terri contributed to the community by using her time and money to give food to the homeless of Lake County. She enjoyed celebrating life with her many friends and was a longtime supporter of the area’s live music scene. Survivors include her mother, Lundi (Benedum) Walser; aunts, Gwen Morse of Az., and Merrily (Michael) Edgecombe; uncle, Daniel Davis; cousins, April (Gary) Stroberg, Tiffany Stickle, Chris (Ann) Davis, Melanie Davis, Jason (Gabby) Benedum, Jessica (Anthony) Harper, of Pa., Zachary (Amy) Benedum, Sarah Benedum, Cheryl Loomis of In., Glenn Simmons of Az., Bill Simmons of Az., Doug Simmons of Az., Renee (Ray) Patterson of NC., Diane (Mark) Hunt of Az., Zane (Mikie) Simmons of Az., Nick Stroberg, Alayna Stroberg, Sydney Forristal Dale Harper, Joshua Harper, Jeremy Harper, Gracie Benedum, Wyatt Benedum, and many cousins she had yet to meet in Az. Terri always made time to keep in touch with her family and remained good friends with her ex-husband Jim Richards. Life will be different for us all, but her bright light will shine when we remember her gentle caring nature. God blessed Terri in many ways. Preceding Terri in death are her aunts, Diane (Benedum) Davis and Janet (Hackley). Benedum; uncle, Rodger Benedum; grandparents, Glen and Janet L. Benedum and cousin, Aaron Benedum. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
